Ambassador Charles Jose delivers his inspirational message during the El Shaddai’s 25th anniversary celebration.

17 May 2018—Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia Charles C. Jose reminded the members of El Shaddai’s Kuala Lumpur Chapter to showcase the best of the Philippines and the Filipino people in their places of work and residence and to also fulfill their civic duties back home.

He made this appeal during his inspirational message during the 25th anniversary celebration of the organization held on May 13 at the APC Hall of St. Anthony Church in Kuala Lumpur.

“As we work here in Malaysia, let us continue to be responsible and law-abiding citizens in this country.  At the same time, the Embassy hopes that you will also perform your civic duties as Filipinos by exercising your right to suffrage,” Ambassador Jose said.

He then asked qualified voters to register for the 2019 Senatorial and Party List elections even before the deadline, which will be on September 30.

“We also congratulate El Shaddai on your milestone as you continue to oversee your flock, and provide them guidance and support in their journey of faith.  Like you, the Embassy also looks after the welfare of Filipinos in Malaysia, and we have implemented measures to ensure that consular and assistance to nationals services can be easily availed by everyone,” Ambassador Jose added.

Present during the event were El Shaddai members from Johor and Singapore, who travelled to Kuala Lumpur to join their brethren in the celebrations.  END
