29 August 2024 - The Philippine Embassy visited the Federal Territory of Labuan and met with officials of the Labuan Corporation on 21 August 2024. The Embassy team, led by Consul General Roussel R. Reyes, met with Labuan officials led by Senator Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Anifah bin Aman.

The Embassy and Labuan Corporation discussed matters of mutual interest and expressed their commitment to strengthening collaboration, emphasizing potential cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, and employment.

Consul General Reyes was joined by Labor Attaché Teresa Lourdes D. Pimentel, Police Attaché Excelso L. Lazaga, Jr., Foreign Liaison Officer Arturo A. Lee, Jr., and Attaché Glen Richard D. Martinez. Labuan Corporation Deputy Chairman Simsuddin Sidek and Labuan Police Chief Supt. Mohd Hamizi Halim also attended the meeting.

This visit underscored the commitment of both the Philippines and Malaysia to fostering stronger bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for collaboration in various sectors.
