MWO-OWWA KL CONDUCTS NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH SEMINAR ON FINANCIAL LITERACY FOR OVERSEAS FILIPINO WOMEN

KUALA LUMPUR 11 March 2025 - As part of its activities for National Women’s Month, the Embassy’s Migrant Workers Office - Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (MWO-OWWA ) successfully conducted a free financial literacy seminar on 09 March 2025, at the MWO-OWWA Training Center. The event was attended by 49 overseas Filipino women eager to enhance their financial knowledge and skills.

The seminar featured Ms. Norjamain G. Delos Reyes , Commercial Counsellor of Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC KL) in Kuala Lumpur. Ms. Delos Reyes offered valuable insights into practical budgeting and financial management strategies personalized for the participants. Her presentation also covered various topics related to entrepreneurship, and effective financial practices designed to promote financial stability.

In addition to the free seminar, attendees were treated to complimentary haircuts, relaxing massages, and tasty snacks. To celebrate National Women’s Month, each participant received a "purple rose," as a symbol of empowerment, celebrating the strength and resilience of overseas Filipino women.
