CONSUL GENERAL ROUSSEL REYES MEETS WITH ANGKATAN KOPERASI KEBANGSAAN MALAYSIA BERHAD (ANGKASA) & ASEAN COOPERATIVE ORGANIZATION (ACO

KUALA LUMPUR - On 11 April 2025, Consul General Roussel Reyes received a delegation from the Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA), the Malaysian National Cooperative Association and the ASEAN Co-operative Organization (ACO) led by Datuk Seri Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdullah.

They discussed advocacy efforts to enhance the visibility and standing of the cooperative sector within ASEAN, highlighting its role for regional economic development and its alignment with the region's economic development agenda. They also discussed the ASEAN cooperative dialogue that will be held on 22-25 May 2025 which aims to showcase the contributions of cooperatives to economic development in the ASEAN region.

Other members of the delegation included Dato' Haji Kamarudin Ismail, Secretary-General of the ASEAN Co-operative Organization (ACO) and Board Member of Angkasa; Dr. Mohd. Azlan Yahya, Treasurer of ACO and Deputy President of ANGKASA; Dato' Haji Mohd Alias Hamzah, Chairman of ANGKASA Selangor; Datuk Ahmad Jamil Hashim, member of the ACO Working Committee and Corporate Adviser (Government Sector) of ANGKASA; and Dr. Noraini Mohamad, General Manager of ANGKASA's International Affairs Division while Embassy Attachés Clarissa Villamor and Aina Abrencillo also joined the meeting.END
