Submit visa applications at least thirty (30) days in advance of expected travel to the Philippines. The Embassy will not expedite visa processing to accommodate the visa applicant’s flight schedule. The Embassy has the discretion to deny the visa or to refuse service to any individual.

Note: 

The Embassy will STRICTLY NOT process visa applications with:

  • incomplete documentary requirements (in Step 1); and
  • incorrect details, incorrect photo upload, unclear passport copy, uploading unsigned application form with barcode (in Step 3);

Extend courtesy to the Embassy personnel;

Unruly or rude behavior may result in visa denial;

Visa is a privilege, not a right; and

Visa issuance does not guarantee entry to the Philippines.

 

In January 2022, the Embassy started implementing the online procedure below:

9(a): Business, Tourist, Filmmaker, Journalist, Athletes, Sailors/Yacht and Foreign dependents (spouse/children/parents) of Filipino Nationals Visa

9(b): Transit Visa

9(c): Seaman and Crew List Visa

9(e): Diplomatic/Official and International Organization Visa

9(g): Pre-Arranged Employment Visa

47(a)(2): Special Non-Immigrant Visa

 

Step 1: (Requirements)

click on the specific visa category 9(a), 9(b), 9(c), 9(e), 9(g), 47(a)(2) for the visa requirements, procedure, forms and fees.

Step 2: (Appointment schedule at the Embassy)

Effective 13 February 2024 until further notice, the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur will accept walk-in visa applications from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 11:00am (except holidays) but is limited only to "first come, first served" basis.

Step 3: (Online visa application form)

Fill-out the online visa application form at https://www.visa.gov.ph

In case the online visa application is still under maintenance, kindly use and download FA Form No. 2 in the website mentioned in Step 1. Fill out the FA Form No. 2 and proceed to Step 4.

For 9(a) visas [Business, Tourist, Filmmaker, Journalist, Athletes, Sailors/Yacht and Foreign dependents (spouse/children/parents) of Filipino Nationals Visa], please follow the information below:

Note: To avoid rejection of your online visa application,

  • input complete personal details correctlyin the fields required in the online application form 
    • type only what is written in the passport [i.e., Given Names, Surname (including Bin, Binti, A/L, A/P, etc.)]; 
    • if no "SURNAME" in the passport, click/tick the box "Check if N/A" under the Surname field
    • for Malaysiansand other nationals with only "Name or Fullname" in the passport, fill-out only the "Given Name" and click/tick the box "Check if N/A" under the Surname field
  • upload your photo with the correct dimensions/requirements on the website (i.e., passport size (1.77x1.37 inch), full-face with white background, no smiling, both eyes open, no eyeglasses, no earrings, no necklace, no hat or any head coverings) Note: your photo will be printed on your visa, the photo should be taken within six (6) months from a photo studio (selfie, photoshop or pixelated photo will not be accepted);
  • save/download, print and sign the online application form with barcode;
  • a pop-up message "Reminder" will appear on your screen (please read it carefully);
  • upload the barcoded online application form with your signature on the website (preferably in PDF format)
  • upload clear copy of yourpassport on the website (preferably in PDF format)
  • in order for the online application form to be completely successful, wait for the confirmation email from GOV.PH
  • Important: please check the inbox or spam folder of your email used in the online application form, if you do not receive a confirmation email from VISA.GOV.PH, repeat the whole process again from the beginning in Step 3 (make/create again a new online application form) until you receive a confirmation email from VISA.GOV.PH. (Reasons for not receiving a confirmation email:no attachments, corrupted or oversized attachments (photo/passport copy/signed online application form), internet connection (taking too long to accomplish the form), technical glitch, etc.).
  • For 9(e), 9(g), 9(c) and 47(a)(2) visas, please skip this Step 3 and use the old visa application form (FA Form No.2) in the website mentioned in Step 1.

Step 4: (Personal appearance, interview and submission of visa application at the Embassy)

  • After completion of Steps 1 to 3, bring the following documents to the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur:
    • printed copy of your signed online application form with barcode and signature (in Step 3) or visa application from FA Form No.2 (if under maintenance) - [for 9(a) and other types of visas]; 
    • printed copy of your confirmation emailfrom VISA.GOV.PH (in Step 3) - [for 9(a) visa applicants only]; and 
    • original and copy of all other documentary requirements(in Step 1) - [for all visa applicants].

 

Visa Fee (cash only):

For non-visa required countries (included in EO 408):

RM 156.00 (for single-entry valid for 3 months)                                   

RM 312.00 (for multiple-entry valid for 6 months)

RM 468.00 (for multiple-entry valid for 1 year)

For visa-required countries (not included in EO 408):

RM 208.00 (for single-entry valid for 3 months)                             

RM 416.00 (for multiple-entry valid for 6 months)

RM 624.00 (for multiple-entry valid for 1 year)

Processing Period (up to collection of visas):   

Single-entry visa:

  • 3-5 working days (for non-visa required countries)
  • 2 weeks (for visa-required countries with prior DFA-Manila clearance)

Multiple-entry visa:

  • 1 month (with prior DFA-Manila approval)

Reminders:

visa is not a guarantee for entry into the country, as entry to / exit from the Philippines is a function of the Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI). In this regard, foreign nationals are advised to bring with them the necessary documentary proof in connection with their purpose of entry into the Philippines, which may be required by immigration officials to be presented at the port of entry.
