DENGUE ADVISORY 2

On February 7, 2024, Dr. Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan, Director General of the Ministry of Health declared 18, 247 cases of dengue in Malaysia this year, alongside 9 reported deaths.
 
 
Early symptoms include: High Fever (40°C/104°F) + Severe Headache, Muscle and Joint Pain, Nausea, Vomiting, Swollen Glands and Rashes.
 
 
In order to prevent catching the dengue virus, the Philippine Embassy encourages the Filipino community to practice the following measures:
 
Clean moist areas and dispose stagnant water to prevent breeding grounds;
Wear protective clothing and skin-safe mosquito repellent; and
Keep doors and windows closed and use mosquito nets and screens.
