19 November 2012 – The Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur said that it will be able to more fully service the Filipino community in Malaysia, particularly in financial management service, with the assumption into office of the new Social Security System (SSS) Representative at the Embassy.

Social Security Representative Ranulfo Tanquezon assumed his post at the Embassy on October 22.

"Mr. Tanquezon will provide information and assistance to community members, particularly in financial management through their membership to the SSS and accessing SSS services and benefits. He is a welcome addition to the Embassy family, and will be a great asset to our Filipino community," Ambassador J. Eduardo Malaya said.

The SSS-Kuala Lumpur office joins other SSS offices in Philippine missions in Hongkong, Singapore, Brunei, London, Milan, Rome, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha, and Dubai in providing assistance to the Filipino community in those areas.
