The Philippine Embassy views the arrest of suspected Abu Sayyaf militants as a significant breakthrough in the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and other transnational crimes.

The Embassy looks forward to closer and enhanced cooperation between Philippine and Malaysian police authorities in addressing the menace of terrorism and transnational crimes in the region.
