Ambassador Charles C. Jose (center) welcomed artists (from left) Agusto Santiago, Jr. and Nemesio “Nemiranda” Miranda Jr. in a courtesy call at the Embassy on September 11.

The two artists were in Malaysia as guests in an art exhibit in Ipoh. 

During the courtesy call, they expressed appreciation for the Embassy’s efforts to promote Filipino visual arts in the country and hope that there would be a follow up to the ArtDialogo art exchange program held last year. 

The ArtDialogo featured Malaysian and Filipino artists who travelled to each other’s countries for art exhibitions, community development through the arts interaction with local schools in Malaysia and Philippines, and sharing of best practices.
