OVERSEAS VOTERS IN MALAYSIA TURN OUT FOR FIRST DAY OF VOTING
Kuala Lumpur, 10 April 2022 – The month-long Overseas Voting for the 2022 National Elections has started at the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Around 14,000 registered voters in Malaysia are expected to cast their votes.

Ambassador Charles C. Jose, his spouse, Madam Maria Victoria Jose, and daughter, Charlene, led the first batch of voters who turned up at the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur early this morning to cast their votes. Ambassador Jose encouraged all registered overseas voters in Malaysia to exercise their right and civic duty to vote. He said, “We are expecting a good voters’ turnout here in Malaysia. The Embassy will be open seven days a week, Mondays to Sundays, and even on holidays to receive our kababayans who are registered to vote.
The Election Committee in the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur has set up a Voters’ Assistance Desk (VAD) to assist in the orderly conduct of the 2022 National Elections in Malaysia. The Overseas Voting period will end on 9 May 2022 at 7:00 PM.
