04 October 2022 – After an almost three-year wait due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Filipino community in Sarawak warmly welcomed the Philippine Embassy team that conducted a regular consular outreach mission on 26-30 September 2022.
Before the conduct of the consular outreach mission, the Embassy announced to the members of the Filipino community in Sarawak the implementation of an appointment system and other SOPs in observance of the health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Embassy rendered 675 services, including e-passport applications, notarial, and civil registry services, during the mission. The Embassy team also conducted an information dissemination campaign to members of the community who sought the advice of the Embassy team on various consular and other matters.
The regular consular outreach mission to Sarawak is in line with the Embassy’s commitment to serve all Filipino communities within the jurisdiction of the Embassy through the conduct of consular outreach missions upon the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
