Kuala Lumpur, 14 October 2022 – As part of its efforts to continuously upgrade the skills of its employees and support the gender and development (GAD) agenda of the DFA, the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur launched a GAD initiative entitled “Feel Good Fridays”.
Recognizing the wealth of experience and knowledge within its immediate community, participation of all personnel in the Embassy and its attached agencies, and their spouses is encouraged, to promote inclusivity and foster camaraderie. “Feel Good Fridays” will be a series of knowledge sharing sessions on various topics which aim to address the practical and strategic needs of personnel, equip them with additional skills, build self-esteem, and promote work-life balance.

To launch the initiative and for its first activity, Madam Ma. Victoria “Vicky” Jose, spouse of Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia Charles Jose, imparted her knowledge and shared her passion about the Art of Table Setting. The Embassy personnel benefited from the hands-on training by Madam Vicky on the proper and creative ways to set a table, useful for hosting official luncheons, dinners and events-- an essential part of the personnel’s functions in the Foreign Service.
The Embassy fully supports the skills development of its personnel, which remains a key part of the gender and development agenda of the DFA and its Foreign Service Posts.
