Twenty-seven delegates from the Regional Development Council-Region X (Northern Mindanao) successfully concluded their study visit to Malaysia, held on 13 to 14 November 2023.

 

The Regional Development Council of Northern Mindanao is the highest planning and policy-making body in the region which is composed of Northern Mindanao Representatives in Congress, local chief executives, regional line agencies, and private sector officials. The delegation is led by Hon. Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo, Chairperson of RDC-X and Governor of Lanao del Norte, and Hon. Rufus Rodriguez, Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Representative and Co-Convenor of the RDC-X Advisory Committee.

 

During the 2-day visit, the delegation met with officials from Putrajaya Development Corporation led by Hon. Dato' TPr. Fadlun bin Mak Ujud, President of Perbadanan Putrajaya (Putrajaya Corporation) and officials from the Malaysian Ministry of Transport led by YBhg. Dato' Normah Osman, Deputy Secretary General for Policy.

 

The productive meetings provided the PHL delegation an opportunity to benchmark and learn best practices from Malaysia as the region aspires to develop public infrastructure projects and a mass transit system in line with the ongoing implementation of the country's Build, Better, More Program.
