PHL EMBASSY HIGHLIGHTS VIBRANT CULTURE AND TRAVEL DESTINATIONS AT INAUGURAL ASEAN FESTIVAL IN KUALA LUMPUR

Kuala Lumpur, 01 December 2023 – The Philippines participated in the INAUGURAL ASEAN Festival in Kuala Lumpur, launched on 30 November in Lalaport, Bukit Bintang City Center.

The Philippine Embassy supported the event by showcasing Filipino culture, products, and popular tourism destinations such as Cebu, Boracay, and Sorsogon. In addition, the Embassy hosted a mini-game at the booth, where attendees could win a Filipino snack or a small token. This interactive element added a fun and engaging dimension to the booth, allowing participants to enjoy a moment of lighthearted entertainment.

The festival aims to promote the rich tapestry of ASEAN cultures, traditions, and flavors. During its launching on 30 November, traditional dances, songs, and immersive cultural displays from various ASEAN countries delighted the attendees.

The four-day ASEAN Festival is until 03 December 2023 and is organized by GenYouth Sdn Bhd. The Festival expects to attract around 30,000 visitors which range from different age groups and nationalities.
