PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR-DESIGNATE H.E. MARIA ANGELA PONCE CALLS ON MALAYSIA’S CHIEF OF PROTOCOL 

09 December 2023 – H.E. Maria Angela Ponce, Ambassador-Designate of the Philippines to Malaysia, called on H.E. Datuk Mohd Aini Bin Atan, Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia on 07 December.

Ambassador-Designate Ponce presented a copy of the Letter of Credence and conveyed the best wishes of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for the good health and well-being of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the prosperity of the people of Malaysia. H.E. Ponce thanked H.E. Datuk Mohd Aini for his crucial role in ensuring the success of President Marcos’ State Visit in July 2023.

The Chief of Protocol welcomed and congratulated Ambassador-Designate Ponce on her appointment. Both officials discussed forthcoming activities such as the upcoming 60th anniversary of Philippines and Malaysia’s bilateral relations in May 2024 and Malaysia’s hosting of the ASEAN Summit in 2025.
