Kuala Lumpur, 16 January 2024 – In a proactive move to empower and engage the Filipino community to register to vote, the Philippine Embassy’s personnel, led by Ambassador-Designate Maria Angela Ponce, and their family members took the lead in registering for Overseas Voting in Malaysia on 15 January 2024.

 

Overseas Voting Registration is ongoing and the deadline to register is on 30 September 2024. Around 20 Embassy personnel and their dependents registered to be able to vote in the upcoming National and Local Elections next year.

 

The Philippine Embassy encourages all eligible Filipino citizens residing in Malaysia and Sabah to take advantage of the opportunity to register, so that come May 2025, they can exercise their right to vote and play their vital role in shaping the future of their home country.

 

The Embassy accepts walk-in applicants for Overseas Voting Registration from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Mondays to Fridays, except weekends and holidays. END.
