1st INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CREATIVE ARTS (IACA) EXHIBITION FEATURES FILIPINO ARTIST ROY ESPINOSA
Kuala Lumpur, 02 April 2024 - Filipino artist Roy C. Espinosa is among the artists featured at the 1st International Association of Creative Arts (IACA) Exhibition at the Wisma Kebudayaan SGM.
With the theme “Artistic Coexistence and Prosperity”, the exhibition features paintings and calligraphies of 90 participating artists from 19 countries. It is jointly organized by IACA, whose mission is to bring together talented artists and to provide them with an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences, and SGM, a Malaysian Buddhist non-profit organization promoting peace, culture, and education with emphasis on respect for dignity.
Mr. Espinosa’s featured artworks are two pieces from his “Eternity Series.” In describing the inspiration for them to H.E. Maria Angela Ponce, Ambassador of the Philippines, Mr. Espinosa said that they represent peace and mindfulness, with the red dots in the paintings symbolizing the seven chakras.
Together with Ms. Joanne Foo, Head of External Affairs and Communications Department of Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM), and Mr. Chia Kok Peng, Editor, Publications Department Head, Communication, Culture and Information Division of SGM, Mr. Espinosa guided Ambassador Ponce and Philippine Embassy personnel through the exhibit.
The exhibit is open to the public until 14 April 2024. END
