AMBASSADOR PONCE JOINS FILCOM FOR RESURRECTION SUNDAY BADMINTON AND BASKETBALL GET-TOGETHER
Kuala Lumpur, 05 April 2024– Ambassador Maria Angela A. Ponce joined members of the Filipino Community Christian Congregation (FCCC), Filipino Baptist Church, Malaysia's OFW Basketball League, Unity, and My Pinoy for a Badminton and Basketball Pinoy get-together on the occasion of Resurrection Sunday on 31 March 2024.
Entitled “The Battle for Resurrection”, the celebration was opened by Dr. Jo Ann Andoy Galvan, one of the leaders of FCCC. Rev. Ronald Longos , also of FCCC, led the opening prayer and short devotion.
The Ambassador expressed her utmost support to the Filipino community, encouraged all Filipinos currently residing in Malaysia to register to vote for the upcoming 2025 elections, and invited Filipino community organizations to register with the Embassy.
The event was held at the Sky Arena Sports Complex. -END
