AMBASSADOR PONCE CALLS ON MFA DEPUTY SECRETARY GENERAL FOR MULTILATERAL AFFAIRS
20 April 2024 H.E. Ambassador Maria Angela A. Ponce and Dato’ Bala Chandran Tharman, Deputy Secretary General for Multilateral Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, engaged in productive discussions on 17 April 2024.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment of both countries to rule of law, multilateralism, and the promotion of human rights. Both sides also discussed mutual support in their candidatures in multilateral bodies. Ambassador Ponce expressed gratitude for Malaysia's steadfast support of the Philippines' human resource development initiatives, particularly through the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP).
Both sides expressed eagerness to explore further avenues for cooperation across various priority areas. END.
