PHILIPPINE EMBASSY AND MWO-OWWA KL CONDUCT 1ST HEALTH SCREENING PROGRAM FOR OFWS
Kuala Lumpur, 23 April 2024 - On 21 April 2024, the Philippine Embassy and Migrant Workers Office - Overseas Workers Welfare Association (MWO-OWWA KL) conducted its first health screening programme for OFWs, in coordination with Dr. Meyharshnee A/P Gunaseelan and National Cancer Society Malaysia Team at the Migrant Workers Resource Center, Taman Maluri.
In her remarks, Welfare Officer Rosanna Siray emphasized the importance of health and prevention of cancer and other illnesses and thanked the volunteers of National Cancer Society Malaysia Team for their time and dedication in making the event a success.
A total of 30 Filipinos availed of the complete health screening package for a minimal fee of RM 150.
The Embassy and MWO-OWWA KL look forward to further collaborations with the National Cancer Society of Malaysia, so that more members of the Filipino community would be able to avail of the health screening program. END
