AMBASSADOR PONCE LEADS PHILIPPINE DELEGATION TO ASEAN LADIES CIRCLE’S 267th EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
Kuala Lumpur, 26 April 2024 – Ambassador H.E. Maria Angela Ponce led the Philippine delegation to the 267th ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) Executive Meeting at the Royal Thai Embassy on 23 April 2024. It was the first assembly following the assumption of Thai Ambassador H.E. Lada Phumas as President of ALC.
Ambassador Ponce, who is the Patron of ASEAN Ladies Circle Philippines, expressed strong support for the presidency of Ambassador Phumas and the proposed activities planned under her presidency.
Ambassador Ponce was joined by Country Representative Jesher Micha Carolino and Honorary Treasurer Joena Flores.
The ALC is a non-profit organization comprising women from the ten (10) Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) which aims to promote mutual understanding and encourage cultural exchange among its members, disseminate information on ASEAN ideals and objectives, and encourage the advancement of women and children in the ASEAN region in terms of education and socio-economic standing.
