PHILIPPINE NAVY FLAG OFFICER-IN-COMMAND VADM ADACI UNDERTAKES OFFICIAL VISIT TO MALAYSIA

08 May 2024 - Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr., the Flag Officer-in-Command (FOIC) of the Philippine Navy, conducted an official visit to Malaysia from 2-5 May 2024, following an invitation from Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman bin Ayob, Chief of the Royal Malaysia Navy.
During his visit to Malaysia, Vice Admiral Adaci and his delegation paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Royal Malaysia Navy. He also called on the Chief of Defense Force, General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman. The high-level discussions centered on fostering collaboration and forging stronger ties in a post-pandemic era. Key topics include amplifying naval cooperation, implementing capacity building exchange programs, and nurturing people-to-people connections between both countries.
Ambassador Maria Angela Ponce received VAdm Toribio Adaci and his delegation at the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur on May 3. They discussed strengthening of bilateral relations with Malaysia, especially as Philippines and Malaysia commemorate 60 years of the establishment of bilateral relations.
He was joined by the following officials from the Philippine Navy: Capt. Emilio G. Orio, Jr., LTC Marvin T. Salvan, LCDR Emmanuel C. Absalon, LCDR Karl Jace G. Pagtananan, and MCPO Felipe M. Ventura.
