PH NAVY CHIEF VADM ADACI BRIEFS FOREIGN HEADS OF MISSIONS ON COMPREHENSIVE ARCHIPELAGIC DEFENSE CONCEPT

8 May 2024 – Philippine Navy Flag-Officer-in Command, Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr., gave a briefing on the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept (CADC)at a dinner with foreign Heads of Missions in Kuala Lumpur on May 3, as part of his official visit to Malaysia.
 
H.E. Maria Angela Ponce hosted a dinner in honor of Vice Admiral Adaci Jr., which was attended by the Heads of Missions of the United States, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Algeria, Sudan, Yemen, and Zambia, and a representative from Australia.
 
Amidst the diplomatic exchanges, Vice Admiral Adaci provided insights into the CADC. Emphasizing the nation's commitment to bolstering its defense capabilities, he discussed how the CADC will allow the Armed Forces of the Philippines to develop its capability to protect and secure the entire Philippine territory and all its maritime zones.
 
In March 2024, Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. announced that the Department of National Defense and Armed Forces of the Philippines have embarked on the implementation of the CADC which was adopted by the Marcos administration for its whole of government approach to safeguarding its territory and Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
