BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS SCHOLAR RECOGNIZED FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN ASIA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS (ASB) MASTERS IN CENTRAL BANKING GRADUATION
Kuala Lumpur, 28 August 2024 – Ms. Allen Kaye Mangulabnan Brillantes of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) was conferred the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Academic Performance and the Masters in Central Banking Capstone Award at the Convocation Ceremony of the Asia School of Business held on 17 August 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Brillantes is one of three (3) scholars from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas who graduated Masters in Central Banking (MCB). The others are Mr. Virgilio IV Novio and Mr. Jetfrey Bien Regunan.
The Asia School of Business is the only academic institution that offers graduate courses in Central Banking. The program is a year-long residential program specifically designed for professionals employed in central banks and other related institutions. It includes a six-week Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan Immersion, with focus on systems thinking, best practices, innovation, and new technologies.
Since 2022, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has sent scholars to the program. For the next school year, the BSP will have two scholars.
Philippine Ambassador H.E. Maria Angela Ponce attended the convocation ceremony, together with BSP Director Iñigo L. Regalado III, BSP Managing Director Jayzle D. Ravelo, Economic Assistant Hannah Patricia De Castro and families of the graduates.
The Ambassador thanked Ms. Brillantes, Mr. Novio and Mr. Regunan for bringing pride to the Philippines and to Filipinos in Malaysia. Professors at ASB have said that they always welcome the Filipino scholars as they consistently excel in the programs. END.
