KAYA FUTBOL CLUB ILOILO REPRESENTS THE PHILIPPINES AT THE ASEAN CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP (ACC) SHOPEE CUP 2024/2025

Kuala Lumpur, 03 September 2024 – The Kaya Futbol Club Iloilo proudly represented the Philippines at their first match in the ASEAN Club Championship (ACC) Shopee Cup 2024/2025 against the Kuala Lumpur City FC at the Stadium Bola Sepak Kuala Lumpur on 22 August 2024. The game ended with a 1-0 victory for the Malaysian team.

The Philippine Embassy, led by Ambassador Maria Angela Ponce, expressed unwavering support for the Philippine team and cheered enthusiastically with Filipino fans from the stands, showcasing the solidarity of the Filipino community in Malaysia.

Earlier that day, the Kaya FC-Iloilo team paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Ponce at the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. During the visit, the Ambassador assured the players of the Embassy's full support in their future endeavors, expressing confidence in their potential to achieve great success in international football.

The Asean Club Championship (ACC) Shopee Cup 2024-25 is an international football competition between domestic champions affiliated with the ASEAN Football Federation. Kaya FC-Iloilo’s next match will be an away game on September 26, 2024 against Buriram United FC of Thailand. END
