ANAK TV HOSTS 4TH SOUTHEAST ASIA VIDEO FESTIVAL FOR CHILDREN IN MALAYSIA
Kuala Lumpur, 29 November 2024 – Anak TV held the 4th Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children (SEAVFC) on 22-23 November 2024 at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center.
Under the leadership of Ms. Elvira Yap Go, President of Anak TV, the event brought together media advocates, filmmakers, and child development experts from across the region to celebrate and promote child-sensitive and family-friendly content in Southeast Asia.
The Philippine Embassy, led by Ambassador Maria Angela Ponce, attended the opening ceremony of the festival, together with former Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, Ambassador Minda Calaguian-Cruz.
At the closing ceremony, the Philippine delegation performed a heartfelt performance of “Isang Mundo, Isang Awit” by Leah Navarro, symbolizing unity and shared aspirations for children's welfare across the region.
The festival concluded with the ceremonial handover of the SEAVFC trophy from Malaysia to Thailand, as the 5th SEAVFC will take place in Thailand in 2025.
Anak TV, an organization dedicated to advocating media literacy and championing child-sensitive, family-friendly television in the Philippines, held the first two SEAVFC events in the Philippines in 2017 and 2018, followed by the third festival in Cambodia in 2019. END
