PHL EMBASSY JOINS PHILIPPINES NIGHT HOSTED BY TOURISM PROMOTIONS BOARD

Johor Bahru, 21 January 2025 – The Philippine Embassy participated in the Philippines Night hosted by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines on 16 January 2025 at the Renaissance Hotel. The event celebrated cultural pride, exceptional cuisine, and meaningful connections among ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) participants.

Consul General Roussel Reyes, in his opening remarks, thanked TPB Philippines, led by Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, for spearheading the participation of the Philippines at TRAVEX. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in ensuring that the country “remains a vibrant and competitive destination in the ASEAN tourism region.”

The evening's highlight was an array of Filipino dishes prepared by Chef Don Baldosano, who was named as Tatler Dining’s Rising Star in 2024. Captivating performances by the Sindaw Performing Arts Guild and Acapellago were also featured, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines. END
