Following the recitation, Consul General Roussel Reyes represented the Embassy at a special Mass to commemorate the Twelfth Anniversary of Pope Francis’ election to the papacy, and as Bishop of Rome. The Mass was officiated by His Eminence Julian Leow, Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur and His Excellency Wojciech Zaluski, Apostolic Nuncio to Malaysia, who also led the congregation in prayer for the Pope’s health. Furthermore, the Papal Nuncio echoed Pope Francis’ recognition of Filipinos as modern-day missionaries due to their presence around the world.
