AFP PARTICIPANTS TO 2025 MALAYSIAN COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE CALL ON AMBASSADOR PONCE

Kuala Lumpur, 30 March 2025 - The Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) officers participating in this year’s Malaysian Command and Staff Course - Joint Serial 54-2025 called on Ambassador Maria Angela Ponce on 24 March 2025 at the Embassy.

LCDR Eduardo Frugalidad Pacquing Jr, Lt. Col Christer Lawrence Sana Abaster, and Lt. Col Fernando A. Guitering, representing the AFP’s three major service commands - Air Force, Army and Navy — started their studies in January and will finish in November. The Malaysian Command and Staff Course is held at Puspahanas, Putrajaya.

Ambassador Ponce expressed her strong support to the officers and exchanged valuable insights on Malaysian culture, emphasizing the significance of understanding the host country for effective engagement.

Ambassador Ponce was joined in the meeting by Vice Consul Kara Denise Frayco and Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Colonel Joel Lobitaña. END
