ASEAN LADIES CIRCLE PHILIPPINES JOINS SONGKRAN FESTIVAL 2025

Selangor, 15 April 2025 - The ASEAN Ladies Circle Philippines (ALC Philippines), led by Alternate Patron Michelle Reyes, attended the official launch of Malaysia’s Premier Songkran Festival 2025 on 11 April 2025 that was held at 1 Utama, Selangor. Ambassador Lada Phumas of Thailand officiated the launch of the event, which will be from 10 to 20 April 2025.

The Songkran Festival is Thailand’s traditional New Year festival. In December 2023, the Songkran Festival was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, a testament to its significance and role in promoting cultural understanding and unity.

Aside from Alternate Patron Michelle Reyes, ALC Philippines was also represented by Vice Consul Patricia Anne Laggui, and Attachés Jesher Micha Carolino and Clarissa Marie Villamor. END.
