DND ASSISTANT SECRETARY MARITA YORO CALLS ON AMBASSADOR PONCE

On 8 May 2025, Ambassador Ponce received a courtesy call from Department of National Defense (DND) Assistant Secretary Marita Yoro, head of the Philippine delegation to the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Defense Officials’ Dialogue (DOD). Assistant Secretary Yoro was joined by the DND’s Supervising Defense Research Officer Ms. Louise Patricia Marie Jison and Defense Research Officer II Ms. Chrishel D. Suerte. 

The ARF DOD, held on 8 May 2025 at the InterContinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur,  aims to facilitate exchanges on strengthening regional security cooperation and coordination among partner countries.  The Philippine delegation also participated in the ASEAN Regional Forum Inter-Sessional Support Group Meeting on Confidence Building Measures and Preventive Diplomacy (ARF ISG on CBMs and PD), held on 9 May.  END
