REP. ANN MATIBAG LEADS PHILIPPINE DELEGATION TO THE 4TH MEETING OF THE COORDINATING COMMITTEE OF WOMEN PARLIAMENTARIANS OF AIPA (WAIPA)

Kuching, Malaysia - Representative Ma. Rene Ann Lourdes G. Matibag (1st District, Laguna) led the Philippine Delegation to the 4th Meeting of the Coordination Committee of Women Parliamentarians of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (WAIPA), held at the Damai Lagoon Resort in Kuching, Sarawak on 21-24 April 2025.

Representative Matibag was accompanied by her Chief of Staff Atty. Luisa O. Bacatan and Atty. Maria Cristina P. Anillo-Jacinto from the Secretariat of the House of Representatives of the Philippines.

Under the theme “Steering Innovation, Inclusivity and Diversity Through Gender-Balanced Parliaments for a Future- Ready ASEAN”, the meeting served as a platform to focus on strategies to enhance women’s leadership and representation in ASEAN parliaments. – END
