PHILIPPINE DELEGATION TO TRACK II NETWORKS ASEAN DEFENSE AND SECURITY INSTITUTIONS (NADI) MEETING CALLS ON AMBASSADOR PONCE

Kuala Lumpur, 6 May 2025 – H.E. Maria Angela A. Ponce warmly received the Philippine delegation for the 21st Track II Networks ASEAN Defense and Security Institutions (NADI) Annual General Meeting at the Embassy on 1 May 2025. The delegation was led by LTGEN Fernando M. Cartujano, President of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP), and BGEN Joel M. Paloma, Chief of the Office for Strategic Studies and Strategy Management (OSSSM).

The 21st Track II NADI Annual General Meeting, hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of Defense, was held on 28 Apr to 30 April 2025 at Genting Highlands. NADI serves as a platform for continuous dialogue and intellectual exchange among defense and security institutions from ASEAN member countries. It was established to support the formal process of the ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting.

Ambassador Ponce expressed her appreciation for the delegation’s visit and noted the significance of the delegation’s participation in the NADI meeting, particularly in enhancing regional defense dialogues and cooperation among ASEAN member states. END
