BANGSAMORO TRANSITION AUTHORITY MP ATTY. SUHARTO AMBOLODTO VISITS EMBASSY

On 3 June 2025, Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia H.E. Maria Angela A. Ponce received a courtesy call from a delegation of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) led by Member of Parliament Atty. Suharto Ambolodto. The BTA delegation’s visit aimed to engage with Malaysian institutions—the Institut Masa Depan Malaysia (MASA) and the Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia (IKIM)—to explore strategies for the development of the Polloc Freeport and Economic Zone (PFEZ) in Maguindanao as well as to promote halal cooperation.

Atty. Ambolodto was accompanied by Senior Political Affairs Officer Ms. Nariman A. Ambolodto, Political Affairs Officer VI Ms. Marissa D. Muñoz, and Political Affairs Officer IV Ms. Jusyfa D. Luminog.

Ambassador Ponce welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for their visit, noting the importance of not only attracting investments to the freeport zone but also strengthening halal cooperation between the Philippines and Malaysia. END
