Foreign newsmen, journalists and cinema and television groups intending to visit the Philippines in pursuit of their profession are required to secure appropriate visas and accreditation from the relevant Philippine government agencies prior to embarking on their activity or project in the Philippines
For this purpose, following are the requirements for accreditation for film outfits desiring to shoot or make films or documentaries in the Philippines.
LIST OF REQUIREMENTS FOR DOCUMENTARY FILMING GROUP
1. Apply visa at the Philippine Embassy from port of origin.
2. Letter of request stating intention to do a documentary film in the country and to facilitate accreditation of crew, issuance of Special Working Permit (from the Bureau of Immigration and deportation) and release and clearance of equipment, if any, from the Bureau of Customs addressed to:
(a) Clear photocopy of the data page of the child’s passport,
(b) Clear photocopy of the data page of the passport of accompanying adult; or guardian;

3. List of TV equipment, number of units of each and their respective serial number and value. (IPC will assist in facilitating the clearance and release of equipment from the Bureau of Customs).
4. List of production crew and their designation.
5. Itinerary of the filming crew and their flight details (arrival and departure).
6. Synopsis/storyline.
7. 3 pieces of 2" x 2" colored photos with white background for each member of the production crew.
8. Photocopy of passport (pages 1 and 2, data page with photo).
9. Duly accomplished application forms:
a) Accreditation form; and
b) Bio-data for Special Work Permit
for the application of Special Work Permit which have to be applied at the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID).
Payment for Special Work Permit (Php 6,400.00 or in equivalent foreign currency for each person) plus Php 60.00 (each person), for the notarization of application. IPC may assists applicants who do not have a local coordinator.
Upon arrival in Manila, the concerned foreign media practitioners are required to report to the International Press Center (IPC) for accreditation and other available assistance. A local coordinator (if any) may coordinate with the IPC in advance.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NEWS REPORTERS/TV CREW/PHOTOGRAPHERS
1. Apply visa at the Philippine Embassy from port of origin.
2. Letter of endorsement from the agency they represent.
3. Certification from respective Embassy in the Philippines (i..e., Embassy of Malaysia for Malaysians).
4. 3 pieces of 2" x 2" colored photos with white background.
5. List of equipment.
6. Photocopy of passport (pages 1 and 2, data page with photo).
7. Itinerary and contact person in the Philippines.
8. Curriculum Vitae.
9. Report to the International Press Center (IPC) upon arrival in the Philippines, for accreditation and other available assistance.
